Stone/Ceramic. This is one of the earliest materials used by ancient humans. The material can be seen in any pottery style available such as earthenware and even delicate porcelain. There are also carved urns from natural stone material like marble and granite. This is used by people who wanted urns that represent the weight as well as the permanence of death which is done through a memorial.

Metal. There are many different kinds of metal used in urns such as stainless steel, pewter and brass. These materials result to beautiful pieces and represents permanence together with strength. Resin/Plastic. This type of memorial urns can be turned into any shape and it can resemble the finishing of almost all materials like stone and metal. The weight is much lighter but more durable. This is suitable for display in houses where there are pets or children.
